International Women's Day...

The month of March is Women’s History Month and Tuesday March 8th, 2022, is International Womens Day! Veteran Voices For Fibromyalgia Would Like To Take Today To Recognize And Salute Our Women Military And Veteran Warriors Who Have Served! Origins of Women’s History Month: Women’s History Month started on March 8, 1857, when women in New York City staged a labor protest over their working conditions. A Women’s Day Celebration happened in New York City in 1909, followed up by a more global effort known as International Women’s Day (held for the first time on March 8, 1911) with the United Nations taking up the cause as a sponsor since 1975. Throughout History, Women Have Been An Integral And Successful Part Of The Armed Forces. Well over 200,000 women serve on active duty in the U.S. military. Since the time of the All-Volunteer Force, the number of women serving in the military has grown exponentially. In 2015, women comprised 9.4% of the total Veteran population in the United States. By 2043, women are projected to make up 16.3% of all living Veterans. Currently, approximately 2 Million Veterans in the United States Are Women!

Thank you to all the Women who stepped to the Call of Duty! We are grateful for your selfless service and sacrifice!
